Voters who, due to health reasons or other valid reasons, cannot come to the polling station on their own on election day may vote outside the polling station premises.

If you will be away from your place of registration on election day, obtain an absentee voting certificate from the precinct election commission at your place of registration. It entitles you to vote at any other polling station in the country.

For what reasons can one vote outside the premises

Grounds for voting outside the premises include health conditions, caring for a sick family member, and being in remote or hard-to-reach areas from which it is impossible to reach the polling station.

How to submit an application

An application for voting outside the premises is submitted to the precinct election commission in writing or orally, including through relatives or neighbours. Applications are accepted up to and including election day.

Upon a voter’s application, members of the precinct election commission visit them with a mobile ballot box. The procedure is conducted with the secrecy of voting preserved; observers may be present during the visit.
